As an AWS Cloud Engieer, you will drive and own the data product lifecycle, proactively suggesting improvements and delivering robust solutions. You will design, develop, and implement scalable database solutions on AWS platforms, optimize data storage and retrieval, and build efficient ETL/ELT processes. Your expertise in database technologies, data structures, and algorithms will be critical in enhancing data delivery and maintaining high-quality data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Product Ownership: Drive and own the data product lifecycle, identifying and implementing improvements.
• Database Solutions: Design, develop, and implement scalable database solutions on AWS platforms.
• ETL/ELT Processes: Develop and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines handling large volumes of data in various formats.
• Data Optimization: Optimize data storage and retrieval using services such as RDS (Oracle) and Redshift.
• Data Modeling: Utilize data modeling automation tools like WhereScape, Ozark, or similar.
• Process Improvements: Identify, design, and implement architecture improvements to enhance data delivery.
• Complex Queries: Write complex SQL queries, and proficiently use Python and/or PowerShell.
• Algorithm Representation: Represent complex algorithms in software, showcasing deep understanding of database technologies.
• Engineering Support: Offer engineering support for team issues, conducting research, and implementing fixes.
• Data Pipelines: Design and implement data pipelines using AWS services such as S3, Airflow, and Glue.
• Automation & Optimization: Automate tasks, optimize data delivery, and build scalable infrastructure using SQL and AWS.
• Infrastructure Management: Maintain and manage Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation and Terraform.
• Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, and implement preventive measures.
• Global Collaboration: Work effectively on global projects across multiple time zones.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in designing, developing, and implementing database solutions on AWS platforms.
• Strong command of relational database systems and proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, Python, and/or PowerShell.
• Experience with data modeling automation tools (e.g., WhereScape, Ozark).
• Expertise in data visualization/exploration tools.
• Experience with AWS services (S3, Airflow, Glue, Redshift, RDS).
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (CloudFormation, Terraform).
• Analytical skills to work with unstructured datasets and build data transformation processes.
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and modern data governance tools (e.g., Collibra) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and logical thinking.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a global team.
